Day 8 - Planned for God's pleasure

You were made for GOD's delight

Bringing enjoyment to God, living for His benefit, glory, purpose and delight is the main reason for your existence.

Understand this, and your worth and importance to Him, and you will never have a problem of feeling insignificant. God has created you in His image. It follows that He has emotions and feels things (very deeply) too. The ability to enjoy pleasure (through our God~given five senses) is one of His gifts He needs us to use to His glory.

We do this through 'worship'.

Anything you do that brings pleasure to God is an act of worship; and worship is multifaceted.

It's not just in communing with like~thinking others (going to church, youth, etc) or (very popularly thought) the music, hymns, choruses, etc; it must be in everything, everything we do to the glory of God (even daily rituals); we must do it all as acts of worship giving God pleasure.

You aren't supposed to get anything out of worship here on earth (that reward will come after this life). Worship is for GOD's benefit. Our motive must be to bring glory and pleasure to our Creator. Worship should therefore not merely be a part of your life; it is your life. Every activity can be changed into an act of worship when you do it for the praise, glory and pleasure of God. Even your work (no matter how humble it be) becomes worship when you dedicate it to God and perform it with an awareness of His presence.

I have come to this enlightenment and find myself thanking God for his loving attendance during the course of my day; then even then not often enough; and continue asking His intervention in the task ahead and dealings with all I encounter.

I trust I am bringing Him some pleasure; I know there can never be given too much so I strive to improve ~ Stafford
